NW Damp & Mould Specialists Ltd (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
Who we are
NW Damp & Mould Specialists Ltd is a damp proofing and mould remediation contractor based in Southport, serving Merseyside and West Lancashire. For anything relating to your personal data, contact us at info@nwdampmould.co.uk or on 07970 611154.
What we collect and why
- Survey and contact forms. When you request an assessment or contact us, we collect your name, postcode, phone number and a description of the problem. We use this to respond to your enquiry, arrange your survey and provide our services. This is processed on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Phone, email and WhatsApp. If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp (including sending photographs of your property), we use that information to answer your enquiry and diagnose the problem. WhatsApp messages are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own privacy policy.
- Quotes, surveys and guarantees. If we carry out work for you, we keep records of surveys, reports, quotations, invoices and guarantees. We keep guarantee records for the life of the guarantee (up to 10 years) and financial records for as long as the law requires.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets only the cookies needed for it to function. If we add analytics in future (such as Google Analytics), this policy will be updated and any consent required will be requested at that time. Embedded maps on our area pages are provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when the map loads.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. Your details are only shared with services we use to run the business (such as our website hosting and email providers) and, where relevant to work carried out, with product manufacturers for the registration of guarantees.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Customer records are kept for the duration of any guarantee and for the periods required by tax law.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict our use of it. Contact info@nwdampmould.co.uk and we will respond promptly. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
